Prashant Gabani is the Founder, President, and a lead educator for USMLE-Simple Inc. He was born in India and moved to Pittsburgh, PA when he was 12-years-old. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, minors in Chemistry and Physics, with summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011 and went on to pursue his MD degree from the Temple University School of Medicine in 2011. At University of Pittsburgh, he continued his passion for teaching by working in the Academic Success Center to tutor students in biology and chemistry classes. At Temple University School of Medicine, he continued to achieve honors in all of his courses, earned a 269 on the USMLE Step 1 examination, and graduated a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. While preparing for this USMLE Step 1 examination, he recognized the need for better study materials and began to develop novel set of high-yield notes for medical students. Drawing from his own experience as a medical student, he now uses his high-yield notes that he developed to provide the highest-quality medical education resources. An active scientist, Prashant Gabani has authored several published research articles and abstracts in well-known peer reviewed journals. He is currently pursuing a career in Radiation Oncology in St. Louis.
Jason Shpilsky is a lead educator for USMLE-Simple™ Inc. Originally from the Philadelphia area, he is now pursuing a career in Internal Medicine in Boston. He graduated with honors and distinction from the Pennsylvania State University in 2011 with a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He received his MD from Temple University School of Medicine in 2015, graduating as a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. Regarded for his candor and humor, Jason has won several teaching awards during his time in the classroom and in the hospital. Recognizing the need to give a human and realistic voice to complex sciences, he ensures the material at USMLE-Simple™ is direct, pertinent, and memorable.
